We're BitsDuJour and we love software. If you're here then chances are that you do too. Whether software is your hobby, or you're a professional developer, we'll bring you exclusive deals on fantastic Mac and PC apps. Our deals come from software vendors around the world, many of which we're happy to call our friends.

For many promotions we arrange the discounts and you buy from the vendor; for others we process checkout through BitsDuJour e-Commerce. Everything we feature is a legal, current version of the product.

How does this work?

Every day we hand pick a select group of 24 hour deals from the best Mac and PC software that's out there. Deals start at Midnight Pacific time, and the software vendor is usually on hand to answer any questions. We have a huge number of longer running deals too, so you can search or browse and find the world's best software at a great price.

What if I miss a deal?

Our discounts are available for a limited time; if you miss a deal you will not be able to get it later. For each deal the remaining time is clearly marked. We feature some of our best long-running discounts in our newsletter, so be sure to sign up.

Do items "sell out"?

Almost always the answer is "No" — everything will be available at the discounted price until the timer runs out. This means you can try any program before you buy it, and still be sure you'll be able to get the discount. Occasionally our 100% off deals will have a limit, but that's rare.

When does the featured item change?

At midnightPacific time (3:00 a.m. Eastern, when U.S. daylight saving is not in effect). Check each deal's countdown for the exact end time.

What won't you feature?

All software here is hand picked. If it's full of bugs, unsupported, or just plain bad, you won't find it here. We won't feature adult content, file-sharing products, or programs that violate copyright laws.

Buying, Privacy and Safety

If I buy any of the Featured Items, where am I buying them from?

You're buying direct from the product's manufacturer (or through BitsDuJour checkout when the vendor uses our e-commerce). That way you're in their database for support and upgrades, and you know you're buying a legal license.

How safe is shopping at these associated sites?

Very safe. Most sales are processed by established software transaction managers, and we check vendors before listing. Use standard online shopping precautions. We only work with vendors that have reasonable privacy and support policies.

Where do I go if I need customer or technical support, or a refund?

For promotions that ran with BitsDuJour e-Commerce, you can ask us for a refund within 30 days of the promotion day. For third-party checkout we don't handle sales directly — contact the software vendor (their URL is on the product page). You can also use our contact form.

Are the programs featured the most current versions?

Yes — we feature only the current version of any program, and purchases are legal licenses from the vendor.

Can programs be shipped to me?

If the vendor offers it, yes. Our policy is that everything must be downloadable, so shipping never has to be an issue. We always recommend making a backup of any installer you download.

Why should I use the store's link, if I'm buying right from the item's vendor?

The discounts are only available from our links. If you buy from the vendor's normal website you won't get our discount.

Will the same offers come back?

Many will — we normally wait many months — but we can't guarantee anything specific.

Why don't you include your email addresses on this site?

Publishing an email address invites spam. Please use our contact form— we take it every bit as seriously as email.
